The Ningbo Wanda sales house in Ningbo, the third ‘architectural’ project by the artist Stephen Bram was realised with the assistance of BAU architects who commissioned the collaboration and who were the architects of the project. The project is in the form of a simple box from which triangular prisms have been removed. The forms of all the exterior walls of the project are derived either from the simple box shape or from three points in space. The work functions as a building and, at the same time, as an ‘autonomous’ work, part of the practice of the artist.
