Situated atop a sand dune, this structure is a machine for redirecting wind and rain. Venturi wind scoops, as found on ship bridges, carry cold wind, rain and mist over the heads of the whale watchers, while zigzag paths interrupt the lateral winds. Local mythologies are suggested in black rubber membranes stretched over anatomic frames. The elbow-rests, seats and benches provide for ergonomic comfort of people of all sizes.
